In his opening remarks, Chairman Kim stated, “Since its establishment in 1970, the KEF has been a steadfast pillar driving national development at the forefront of Korea’s industrialization and economic growth, and has been a core partner in social dialogue,” adding, “When the KEF’s participation and wisdom are brought to the table, social dialogue can further enhance its balance and sustainability.”

Chairman Kim also noted, “The complex crises we face can be overcome through sincere dialogue grounded in trust restoration and the active participation of all stakeholders,” and emphasized, “The ESLC will serve as a ‘facilitator of trust’ and function as a ‘deliberative public forum’ that listens to and coordinates the voices of labor, management, and government in a balanced manner.” Meanwhile, the ESLC stated that it is preparing to hold a series of meetings in the future with labor and management organizations at all levels, as well as with public-interest commissioners of the plenary committees.
