The
‘Special Committee on National Pension Reform and Old Age Income Security’ was launched. The Committee will
act as a social consultative body to discuss national pension reform and old
age income security.
The Committee aims to discuss ways and breakthroughs in order to the nation will fulfill the responsibilities of operating old age income security so that all the people will bring their stable later life. The old age income security is a challenge of our society which requires a solution through the alliance between generations and different social groups, the Committee also seeks to find a solution through social dialogue with stake holders.
The major discussion topics are methods to bring innovation of national pension, strengthening measures for old age income security, and other issues. The discussion period will be for six months during Oct. 30, 2018 to April 29, 2019. If it is required, additional three months will be extended.
